Exchange students who wish to take an Architectural Design Studio at Yonsei University should follow the steps below. Please read carefully, as studio availability is limited and placement is not guaranteed.
* Eligibility
You must currently be enrolled in a 4-year or 5-year architecture program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level) at your home university. You should be 3rd year student in your university or should have completed 3 design studios.
* Application Requirements
In addition to your online course registration, you must also submit the following documents to the Architectural Design program-director (by email to daesonglee@yonsei.ac.kr) no later than the last day of online course regeistration period (https://oia.yonsei.ac.kr/intstd/exCalendar.asp)

- Personal Statement
(Must include your current year level, number of studios previously taken) - Academic transcript
- Architectural Portfolio
- Preferred studio year level
(e.g., 2nd-year Unit2 or 3rd/4th-year Studio-X Unit4)

- Your application will be reviewed by the Architectural Education Committee.
- If accepted, you will be placed into an English-language studio that matches your level and experience subject to availability.
- You will be informed of your eligibility to enroll in a design studio ahead of time. However, your year and studio placement will be announced during the orientation session on the first day of class.
- Please note that studio has limited availability, placement is not guaranteed.

- 2nd-year level: 4 Units
- 3rd/4th-year (Studio-X)level: 6–7 integrated units
- Course availability to Exchange students and number of studio units taught in English are subject to change without prior notice
- The program director may contact you individually via email with further instructions. Please monitor your email closely.
- A brief orientation session may be held before studio placement begins.
- There will be orientation for all design studios on the first day of design studios. Please check the website carefully for the OT schedule and location.

This architectural design studio is a 6-credit course consisting of 90 instructional hours, conducted over 15 weeks with 6 hours of studio per week. It provides an intensive, project-based learning environment where students engage in the iterative process of architectural design, critical analysis, and spatial exploration.
