Passion and audacity define the 14th edition of the International Architecture and Innovation Competition of the Fondation Jacques Rougerie – Institut de France, open until September 12, 2024.
What architectural proposals can address the challengers of climate change and rising sea levels?
What will our living conditions be like above or below the sea in the future?
How can human control be maintained in space exploration?
In 2024, for its 14th edition, the Jacques Rougerie Foundation invites the international community of young architects, engineers, designers, students, and professionals to envision visionary architectural projects aligned with the major challenges of humanity. These biomimetic, bio-inspired projects must integrate form, function, and environment, placing humans at the heart of reflection.
Projects from around the world are expected to emphasize environmental preservation and contribute to the integration of the sea and space in the future of our planet. Candidates are encouraged to form multidisciplinary teams combining science, arts, and new technologies and to harness the constraints of sometimes extreme environments in which their projects are situated as creative forces.
The competition is free and open to students and professionals worldwide.
Grand Prix for “Architecture and Innovation related to Climate and Rising Waters”
Grand Prix for “Architecture and Innovation for the Sea”
Grand Prix for “Architecture and Innovation for Space”
Un Prix Spécial for “Architecture and Innovation Lab”
The awards ceremony will take place in December 2024.
